How do I change the opening line of my emails?

Open the Template, then Words, then the opening line. It is always first in the email, and it is the same setting on every version of your email.

Tell the AI how to write it

Under How the AI writes your opening line, write what you want in your own words, for example: one short sentence saying why you are writing, and do not mention Companies House. The AI still uses only what the public record says about each company. Left empty, it writes from why the company came up.

Use a sentence of your own

Choose Use my own sentence and type it. Press The company's name to put each company's name where you want it. Leave out the greeting, dates and links.

When your sentence does not fit a company, the AI writes that company's opening line instead. For example, when your sentence calls a company new and it is not, or it uses one of your never-say words.

When the change shows

After you save, emails waiting for review get new opening lines a few minutes after your last change. Emails already sent keep theirs.
