Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026.

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules for using Leadistry.

By using Leadistry, you agree not to misuse the platform, any data made available through it, or any connected services.

Permitted Use

You may use Leadistry for:

  • lawful business research
  • identifying businesses and relevant business contact routes
  • internal prospecting and market analysis
  • lawful B2B outreach carried out in compliance with applicable law
  • building and running Pipelines (formerly Flows and Campaigns) and using the AI assistant to draft searches, Pipelines, and outreach for your review

Prohibited Use

You must not use Leadistry to:

  • send unlawful or non-compliant marketing communications
  • contact sole traders or individual subscribers in breach of PECR
  • process personal data unfairly, unlawfully, or without an appropriate lawful basis
  • ignore objections, opt-outs, unsubscribes, or suppression requirements
  • build or maintain hidden marketing lists in a way that circumvents legal rights
  • profile people in ways that are intrusive, discriminatory, misleading, or harmful
  • target vulnerable individuals or use data for harassment or intimidation
  • scrape or harvest Leadistry at scale outside the intended product functionality
  • resell or expose Leadistry output as a raw database, API, directory, or competing service
  • interfere with platform security, rate limits, login systems, billing logic, or credit-balance controls
  • use automated scripts, bots, or headless tools in a way that degrades the service or bypasses intended platform use
  • attempt to identify suppressed or removed individuals
  • combine Leadistry data with unlawfully obtained data

AI Features

Leadistry includes AI-assisted features, including the AI setup assistant and AI drafting within Pipelines. AI output is always produced as a draft for your review; nothing is sent, and no credits are spent, without your explicit approval. When using these features you must not:

  • use the AI features for any unlawful purpose, or to generate unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content
  • attempt to extract, infer, or access data belonging to other customers, or any data you are not authorised to receive, through the AI features
  • attempt to subvert, manipulate, or prompt-inject the assistant, or otherwise cause it to bypass platform controls, safety measures, or this policy
  • use AI-drafted content to circumvent the sending rules below; AI-drafted messages are subject to the same rules as messages you write yourself, and you remain responsible for everything you approve and send

Sending Rules

If you send outreach through the platform, every message you send must:

  • clearly identify you as the sender, including your business identity and a valid return route
  • include a working opt-out mechanism

Opt-outs, unsubscribes, and suppression entries (including whole-company suppression requested via leadistry.co.uk/remove-company) are enforced by the platform and must also be honoured by you. You must not attempt to contact a suppressed or opted-out recipient through any means.

Compliance Obligations

You are responsible for ensuring your use of Leadistry complies with all applicable law, including UK GDPR, PECR, and sector-specific rules where relevant.

You must ensure that you:

  • assess whether the target is a company, sole trader, partnership, or identifiable individual
  • provide notices or disclosures where required
  • honour objections and opt-outs
  • maintain your own compliance processes for outreach

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend or terminate accounts, restrict access, suppress records, or take other protective action where we believe this policy has been breached.
