Or pick a topic below.
Getting started
What Leadistry does, the free trial, signing up, and the pages you use every day.
- What is Leadistry and how does it work?Leadistry finds UK limited companies that match who you sell to, checks their website and email, and writes an email to each for you to send from your mailbox.
- What do I get on the free trial? The free trial is 25 leads, once, with no card. You can set up agents, use the Feed and the Desk, and send your first 25 emails free from your own mailbox.
- How do I sign up?Create an account with Google, Microsoft or a work email and password, answer two questions about your business, then press Looks right to start your agents.
- What does the sign-up chat ask me?It asks what your business sells, and which kinds of business buy from you and where. It then shows what it will look for and waits for your Looks right.
- When do my first leads arrive?Your first leads start arriving once you press Looks right. After that your agents look all day and send each lead to your Feed as soon as it is checked.
- What is the Feed and how do I use it?The Feed shows one card per company your agents found, with its email written. Approve it, redraft the first line or skip it. Nothing goes until you approve.
- What is the Desk? The Desk is the first page after you log in. It shows this week's emails, replies, wins and leads, a suggestion, and every reply with an answer drafted.
- What comes with a lead?A lead is one UK limited company with its director's name where the register has it, a checked website and a business email whose domain accepts mail. 1 lead.
- What can the in-app assistant do?The assistant changes your agents and emails from your own words. Anything that spends leads or sends email shows a card first, and waits for your Confirm.
- How do I pause my whole account?Use the Live and Paused switch at the top of the Desk or Agents. While paused, nothing new is found, no leads are used and no emails are sent until you go Live.
Agents and leads
Setting up and changing agents, how many leads come a day, what uses a lead, and getting a wrong one back.
- What is an agent? An agent watches the Companies House register all day for the companies you sell to, checks each one's website and email, and puts it on your Feed as a lead.
- How do I set up a new agent? On Agents, press New agent and tell the assistant who you sell to and where. It shows you the agent first, and it looks within a minute of your Confirm.
- What are the reasons an agent looks for?Reasons are dated facts on the public record, such as newly registered or accounts due. Your email's first line is written from one. Switch them on or off.
- How do I choose how old the companies are?Pick new companies from the last 12 months, 6 months, 3 months or 30 days. Switch on accounts or confirmation statement due for companies of any age.
- How do I change what an agent looks for?Change an agent on its page under What it looks for, or tell the assistant. Changes take effect within a minute and never change the leads you already have.
- How do I pause, restart or delete an agent?Pause or delete an agent from its menu on Agents. A paused agent finds nothing new until you resume it. A deleted agent's leads stay in Leads.
- Why does each kind of business get its own agent? Each kind of business you sell to gets its own agent, so each one has a clear name and you can see which replies most. Agents are grouped by category on Agents.
- How many leads will I get a day? Each lead comes as soon as it is found and checked, up to 2,000 a day, while you have leads left. Set a daily limit or choose Steady to have fewer a day.
- How do I get extra leads today? On an agent's page, press Bring leads now for 5, 10 or 25 more today only, or Find more now for a one-off search. Each says what it uses before you go.
- What uses a lead, and how many do I have left? One company on your Feed uses 1 lead, once its website and email are checked. Your leads left show at the foot of the sidebar, and unused leads roll over.
- A lead is wrong. Can I get it back?Tell the assistant which lead is wrong. It checks it against what your agent was set to find when it came, and if the check finds it wrong, you get 1 lead back.
- Do other customers get the same companies?Your agents send companies no other customer has had first. A company three other customers had in the last 90 days is not sent to you. You never get one twice.
Your emails and the Template
How each email is written, how to change its words, subject and look, and how to see it before it goes.
- What is the Template? The Template is your email as every company receives it: its words, subject, look, logo, pictures, video, sign-off and follow-ups, set up once for all.
- Does the AI write my emails, or do I?Both, and you choose. The opening line is written for each company by default. Every other section is either AI writes it or My exact words.
- How do I change the opening line of my emails? On the Template, open Words and the opening line. Tell the AI how to write it, or choose Use my own sentence and put in each company's name.
- How do I change what my email says about my business and my ask?Open Words on the Template and open What you do or Your ask. Write your exact words, or give the AI a brief. You can add sections and set a tone.
- How do I stop the AI using certain words in my emails?Add them under Never say on the Template's Words panel. The AI will not use them in any section, and a section or the opening line can have its own.
- How do I change the subject line of my emails? On the Template, open Words, then Subject. Leave it written for each company, or choose My exact words and type one subject for every email.
- How do I change how my email looks, with my logo and colours? On the Template, pick a look (Letter, Designed, Clean, Your colour or Announcement), add your logo and colour, or press Copy my website's look.
- How do I add a picture or a video to my email? On the Template, add up to 3 pictures or a banner, and a video by link or upload up to 100 MB. The email shows a picture with a play button.
- Can different agents send different emails?Yes. On the Template, press New version. It starts as a copy of your main email, and you pick which agents use it. Other agents use your main email.
- How do A/B tests work, and how is a winner picked?Ask the assistant to test two emails. Companies are split between them, and a winner is only named after about 30 emails each and 5 replies in all.
- How do I send myself a test email? On the Template, press Send me a test and the email arrives in your own inbox, so you can read it as a company will. You can also ask the assistant.
- Why does my email need my company details at the bottom? The law says every business email must show who sent it. The footer carries your company details, where the details came from, and a way to stop.
Mailbox, sending and replies
Connecting your mailbox, how many emails go and when, follow-ups, bounces, replies and how to stop sending.
- How do I connect my Gmail or Outlook mailbox? On the Mailbox page in Settings, press Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft and sign in. Your emails then go from your own address.
- How do I connect an IONOS, GoDaddy or other mailbox? On the Mailbox page, type the address and the password you use to sign in to it, then press Connect mailbox. We check them and send you a test email.
- How many emails a day will my mailbox send?A new mailbox sends 5 emails a day, then 5 more each day it sends, up to 30 a day or the limit you choose from 5 to 50. The warm-up cannot be skipped.
- How do I choose the days and hours my emails go?On the Mailbox page, under When emails go, set the days, the hours and the most a day. The default is Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time.
- Do I have to approve every email, or can Autopilot send them? With Autopilot off, every email waits on your Feed until you approve it. With Autopilot on, emails from your agents go by themselves in your sending hours.
- How do follow-up emails work, and how do I change them?If nobody replies, two short follow-ups go in the same thread, on day 4 and day 9 by default. A reply stops them. Change the days on the Mailbox page.
- What happens when one of my emails bounces? If your first email to a lead bounces, the lead goes back on your balance automatically, once. Its follow-ups stop, and Leads marks it Bounced.
- Where do replies go, and how do I answer them?Replies land in your own inbox and on the Desk under Replies, with an answer drafted for you. Nothing is sent until you read it and press send.
- What happens when someone unsubscribes from my emails?Every email has a one-click way to stop. Anyone who unsubscribes is never emailed from your account again, and their follow-ups stop at once.
- How do I stop my emails from sending? To stop everything, switch your account to Paused at the top of Agents or the Desk. To keep approving by hand, switch Autopilot off on the Feed.
- What is the domain check (SPF, DKIM and DMARC)?SPF, DKIM and DMARC are records on your email domain that prove your emails come from you. The Mailbox page shows which are missing and how to add them.
- How do I disconnect my mailbox? On the Mailbox page, press Disconnect beside the address and confirm. Our access ends at once. Follow-ups to emails it already sent will not go.
- Why haven't my emails gone out?Emails go only on your sending days and hours. If one has not gone, it may be waiting for approval, or your mailbox, daily limit or footer needs a look.
Plans and billing
What each plan costs, how your leads are counted, and how to change, cancel or get an invoice.
- How much does Leadistry cost?Growth is £29 a month for 900 leads, Pro £69 for 2,400 and Scale £139 for 6,000. Every plan includes the whole product, and the trial is free.
- Can I pay yearly instead of monthly?Yes. A yearly plan costs 10 times the monthly price, so you get 12 months for the price of 10, and the whole year's leads arrive at the start.
- Do my unused leads roll over to next month?Yes. Unused leads roll over while your plan is active. Each month's leads are added on top of what you have left, so nothing expires while you subscribe.
- How do I buy more leads before my plan renews?Top up on the Plan page. You see the price for your plan before you pay, the leads land when the payment clears, and top-up leads never expire.
- How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?On the Plan page, press the plan you want and confirm. Moving up charges the difference today; moving down takes unused time off your next invoice.
- How do I cancel my plan, and what happens to my leads?Press Cancel my plan on the Plan page. Everything works until the date you paid to, then nothing renews. Your leads are kept for when you return.
- Can I get a refund?Plan fees are not refunded once a billing period starts. Top-ups are refundable within 14 days if none of their leads were used. Email hello@ first.
- Where do I find my invoices and change my card?On the Plan page, press Invoices and card. It opens your billing page, where you can download every invoice and change the card you pay with.
- Is VAT added to the price? No. Leadistry is not registered for VAT, so the price you see is the price you pay. There are no setup, processing or card fees on top either.
- How do I download my leads as a CSV?On a paid plan, download a monthly or weekly statement from Exports, or download the rows you are looking at on Leads. The leads are yours to keep.

Our data and how we check it
Where each fact on a lead comes from, what we check before you see it, and how we keep it up to date.
- Where does Leadistry's data come from? From three public places: the Companies House register, the company's own website and ordinary web searches. We never buy lists or personal data from brokers.
- Is Leadistry allowed to use Companies House data?Yes. Companies House publishes the register under the Open Government Licence, which allows reuse. Leadistry reads it but does not run or change the register.
- How do you find a company's website and check it is theirs? We search for the company, open the site and match it to the Companies House filing: name, registered postcode and the details the site publishes.
- How do you check an email address before I get it?Every email was published by the company. We check it has a valid form and that its domain runs a working mail server. We never guess an address from a pattern.
- What does verified mean on a Leadistry lead?Four checks passed: the company still trades, the website is theirs, the email's domain takes mail and nothing is missing. A lead that fails is held back.
- How accurate is Leadistry's data?We do not publish a headline accuracy percentage. We publish the checks every lead passes instead, and a first email that bounces is credited back once.
- How often is the data checked again?New companies arrive every morning. Each website we hold with an email is read again monthly, and a lead not read for 30 days is read again before a charge.
- What happens to a company's data when it is dissolved?Once a company leaves the Companies House register, customers stop getting it as a lead and we clear its personal details, such as director names and emails.
- What data does Leadistry not collect or sell?No bought lists, no phone numbers, no data from behind a login and no special-category data. We do not score people, and we do not sell data on to brokers.
- The details Leadistry holds about my company are wrong. What can I do?Details from Companies House are read as filed, so fix them at Companies House. For anything else, email hello@leadistry.co.uk and say what is wrong.
Privacy, GDPR and PECR
Who holds the data, on what legal basis, the rules for emailing businesses, cookies, and your rights over your details.
- Who is responsible for my data at Leadistry?Leadistry Ltd is the data controller for the company and business-contact records we build. We are registered with the ICO under number ZC200538.
- What personal data does Leadistry hold about company directors and contacts?Officer details from Companies House, plus the business email, website and public profiles a company publishes. No special-category data, no scoring.
- What is Leadistry's lawful basis for holding my details?Legitimate interests, under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f): letting UK businesses find and contact other UK businesses. A written assessment records the balance.
- Is it legal to email UK companies without asking first?Under PECR, marketing email to corporate subscribers such as limited companies does not need consent first, as long as the sender honours anyone who opts out.
- Can I email sole traders and partnerships through Leadistry? No. In UK law sole traders count as individuals, so they are held back automatically and never charged for. The same goes for general partnerships.
- What do I have to do when I email leads from Leadistry? You are the sender. Say who you are, give a postal address or other way back, include a working opt-out, and honour every opt-out. Never imply anyone consented.
- What cookies does Leadistry use?Essential cookies to keep you signed in, plus analytics (Clarity, PostHog, Google Analytics) and support chat (Intercom) that only load if you accept them.
- Where is my data stored, and who else processes it?Our backend and database are hosted by Railway. A published list names every sub-processor, where it is, and what reaches it. Most are in the United States.
- How long does Leadistry keep personal data?Company and contact data while the company is active on the register. Account data for your account's life plus up to 7 years. Assistant chats for 90 days.
- What are my data protection rights, and how do I use them? You can ask to see, correct or erase your data, object to direct marketing, restrict processing and get a copy. Use our forms or email hello@leadistry.co.uk.
- How do I complain to the ICO about Leadistry? You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to put things right first.

- How do I contact Leadistry about my data?Email hello@leadistry.co.uk, use the contact form, or write to 195 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU. The self-service forms are the fastest way to remove data.
- What happens to my leads when a company asks to be removed? The company leaves your Feed and Leads, and unsent emails to it are cancelled. A lead you paid for and never emailed is refunded. You must not contact it again.
- A prospect asked me to remove them. What do I do?Send them leadistry.co.uk/remove-company, or tell our team from Help in the app. Stop contacting them too: honouring opt-outs is your duty as the sender.
