How do I set up a new agent?

On Agents, press New agent and tell the assistant who you sell to and where, in your own words, for example "plumbers and electricians in Leeds". It shows you the agent before anything is set up: the kinds of business, the area, how new the companies are, and whether plenty or few companies match.

Press Confirm and the agent has its first look within a minute. After that it looks all day.

Kinds of business

Each kind of business you name gets its own agent. You can also have an agent look for every kind of business in towns, a county or a region (never a whole country). Your own trade is left out of that unless you keep it in.

Where it looks

An agent can look across the whole UK, in one or more towns, in a county, in an English region such as the North East, or in a country: England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. England leaves out the other three. One agent looks in at most 12 places.

Suggested agents

Agents and the Desk sometimes suggest an agent for another kind of business. Press Build it to set one up, or Not now to leave it.
