Our Methodology

How we sourced every claim on the homepage competitor comparison. Read this if you want to verify a row, audit our sources, or push back on a number you think is wrong.

How we compare ourselves to competitors

The "How we compare" table on our landing page summarises feature differences between Leadistry and three commonly-cited competitors: Apollo.io, Cognism, and Lusha. We update this table when we ship new features or when a competitor publicly changes pricing or capabilities, not on a fixed cadence.

How we sourced the numbers

Competitor pricing reflects monthly-billing entry tiers as of May 2026, what you'd pay without committing to an annual contract. Apollo Basic: $49/user/month (~£40 at 1.27 USD/GBP). Lusha Pro: $45/month (~£36). Cognism: quote-based, estimated from third-party procurement data (Vendr, G2) at £16,500+/yr minimum.

Lead volume comparisons use each platform's published entry-tier allowance. Leadistry Growth gives 200 verified UK leads per month, every one of which is a delivered company record with Companies House data and the digital contact fields you requested. Apollo Basic (~1,000 export credits/month), Cognism fair-use policy (~2,000 contacts/user/month), and Lusha Pro (~400 email reveals or ~80 phone reveals) each meter on contact reveals from a pre-existing database, not end-to-end company discovery, so the headline numbers aren't directly comparable.

USD prices converted at ~1.27 USD/GBP.

What we mean by each row

  • What each lead delivers, every Leadistry lead is one delivered UK company record covering the director, website, email, phone, company + director LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and the Companies House registry data (SIC codes, registered address, incorporation date, officers, status, etc.). Apollo, Cognism, and Lusha credits each unlock a single contact reveal from a pre-existing database, not an end-to-end company record.
  • UK Companies House filters, direct, native search by Companies House fields. "Partial" indicates the competitor has some UK company data but does not expose CH-native filters.
  • UK 5-digit SIC codes, searching by 5-digit UK SIC 2007 codes from Companies House (the level of granularity required for sub-sector targeting). Apollo supports US 4-digit SIC codes only. Cognism supports SIC/ISIC/NAICS but not UK CH-specific codes. Neither maps to UK Companies House categories.
  • Active charges / filing deadlines / recent director changes, finding companies with currently-registered charges, accounts or confirmation statements due within a chosen window, or director appointments/resignations in a recent window.
  • No-website flag, surfacing companies for which no public website was discoverable.
  • Live preview before spending credits, seeing exactly what a search will return (and what it will cost) before any credit is debited.
  • No annual lock-in for best price, the price shown is what you pay month-to-month, with no annual contract required for the same rate.
  • Auto-refund on failed enrichments, when a search comes up empty or a job fails partway, all unused credits are refunded automatically the same minute the job marks failed. Apollo, Cognism, and Lusha all operate per-reveal credit models with manual-claim refund processes for clearly invalid data, none of them auto-refund stale or failed reveals. We define this row by whether the platform automatically returns credit on failure (yes/no), not whether refunds are theoretically obtainable.
  • Free trial, a no-card trial that unlocks the full product. Leadistry: 100 credits. Apollo: limited free tier with usage caps. Cognism: demo only (sales-led). Lusha: 5 reveal credits/month on the free plan.
  • Credits stack month-over-month, unused credits roll over to the next billing cycle on top of the new month's allocation, with no expiry. Cancellation does not forfeit your remaining balance, credits stay on the account and remain usable indefinitely (verified against our billing webhook code: monthly renewal grants are additive, only the cycle-usage counter is reset). Apollo credits expire monthly; Cognism is a fair-use model with no per-credit ledger; Lusha Pro credits expire monthly per their current pricing pages.
