How do follow-up emails work, and how do I change them?

If a company does not reply, two short follow-ups go in the same thread: the first on day 4 and the last on day 9 after your first email, unless you change the days. Each goes on the next sending day with room. A reply stops them straight away, and so does a bounce.

Their words

By default the AI writes each follow-up for that company when it is due. It says when your first email went, the way a person would, asks for one line back and never repeats your pitch. The last one says it is the last.

On the Template, open Follow-up 1 or Follow-up 2 to give the AI a brief, or choose My exact words. Your own words can include the first name, the company, what the first email was about and the date of the first email. Follow-ups never carry pictures or the video.

Days, on or off, and approving first

On the Mailbox page you can switch follow-ups off, change the days (from day 2 to day 30, the second after the first) and choose Ask me before each one.

With Autopilot off, or with Ask me before each one, follow-ups wait under Follow-ups waiting for you at the top of the Feed. There you can Approve and send, Rewrite, Skip this one or Stop following up, or Approve all.

Late follow-ups

A follow-up that cannot go within a week of its day is dropped. A follow-up always comes from the mailbox that sent the first email.
