What happens when one of my emails bounces?
If your first email to a company bounces, the lead goes back on your balance automatically, once. You do not need to ask. Its follow-ups stop as well.
Where you see it
On Leads, the company shows Bounced with Lead credited back under it. The Desk shows how many bounced this week and how many leads were credited back. On Plan, your leads history lists it as Lead credited back: the email bounced.
When a lead is not given back
The lead comes back only for a first email, and only once:
- A follow-up that bounces: the first email reached them
- A lead that never used one of your leads
- A lead already given back once
Why emails rarely bounce
Every email address is tested before a company reaches your Feed, and a company whose website or email we cannot check never reaches you.
