The Leadistry Chrome Extension: Find UK Leads as You Browse

Our free Chrome extension is live. Land on any UK company's website and it identifies the business, checks it against Companies House, and saves it to your account in one click, fully enriched.

Prospecting usually happens in two places at once. You find an interesting UK company (a supplier, a competitor's client, a business that just came up in a Google search) and then you switch tabs, open Companies House, copy the name, check it's a real registered company, hop to another tool to find the email, and paste it all into a spreadsheet. Every promising lead is five minutes of admin.

The Leadistry Chrome extension, now live and free on the Chrome Web Store, collapses that into a single click. Land on any UK company's website and the extension quietly identifies the business, verifies it against the Companies House register, and lets you save it straight to your Leadistry account, enriched with the verified website, business email, director and social profiles automatically.

What it does

The extension runs on the page you are already looking at. When it detects a UK company, it shows a small card with:

  • The registered company name and number from Companies House
  • A confidence level so you know how sure the match is
  • Any cached contact details we already hold (shown free, no lookup needed)
  • A one-click Save to Leadistry button

Hit save and the lead lands in your account under "From extension". In the background we look up everything the normal search journey would deliver: the verified website, a business email, the director's name and LinkedIn where publicly discoverable, plus company LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. No "select which fields you want" step, we pull what we can find and drop it in.

If a company isn't on Companies House (an overseas business, a sole trader with no limited company), the extension can still capture the business and its public contact details into a separate list, so nothing interesting slips away.

How to install and connect

1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome. It works on Chrome, Edge and Brave. 2. Click the Leadistry icon in your toolbar, then Connect. 3. You'll be taken to Leadistry to sign in or create a free account. The extension links to your account automatically, no API keys, no copying tokens.

That's it. If you don't have an account yet, the connect flow will create one, and you start with free trial leads, no card required.

Private by design

We built the extension to be conservative about data, because a tool that watches every page you visit has to earn trust.

  • It sends nothing unless a UK signal is present on the page (a company number, a VAT number, a UK postcode, or clear "registered in England and Wales" style text).
  • When it does send, it transmits only the hostname, page title and the public company signals it found, never the full content of the page, and never your browsing history.
  • It never scrapes third-party or social sites from your session. All enrichment happens server-side, from the company's own public website.
  • Saving is always an explicit click. The extension never saves a lead on your behalf.

You can disconnect at any time from the extension's popup ("Sign out"), or remove it entirely from chrome://extensions. Removing it doesn't delete anything you already saved to your account.

What it costs

Nothing extra. The extension is free with every Leadistry account, including the free trial. Two things worth knowing about quota:

  • Cached lookups are always free. If we already hold a company, saving it never touches your daily allowance.
  • Fresh lookups use a generous daily free-scan allowance. On any paid plan (from £10/month) there is no daily limit at all.

Who it's for

The extension is most useful if your prospecting starts from the open web rather than a saved search:

  • Agencies and web designers browsing local business sites, spotting firms that need work
  • Recruiters and brokers researching a company before an approach and wanting the director and contact in one click
  • Sales teams who come across a target company mid-research and want it captured before they lose the tab

If you prefer to start from a filtered list (every UK company in a SIC code, region or incorporation window), the main Leadistry search still does that. The extension is the "I found this one in the wild" companion to it.

The bigger picture

Companies House gives you company data, not contact data. Our whole job is the enrichment layer that turns a registered company into a usable, verified lead. The extension just moves that capability to wherever you happen to be browsing, instead of making you come to us first.
