The first cold email when you are the sales team
No sales background. No sequences. No patter. Founder-to-founder email works because it does not sound like sales. Here is how to write your first one.
01
Write like a founder
You run the company, so say so. "I run a small firm that does X. I saw you have just started. Here is one thing we could take off your plate." Plain beats polished.
02
One email, one job
The first email asks one small question. It does not pitch the whole service. A reply is the win. The deal comes later.
03
Let the record do the research
The filing tells you what they do, where they are, and how new they are. One real detail from it beats three paragraphs of flattery.
